Faith Without Works is Dead

For the past 3 weeks, we have been going live on Facebook and YouTube as we keep bringing the facts out, so people know where to put their faith. The last few weeks we have talked about “The Pestilence”, “Defeating the Giant” and now, “Faith Without Works is Dead”. We know that Faith is not just a blanket that covers all, you must know what to speak to. I personally want to know what I am believing for, what I need to speak to, and what I’m going pray for. The only way you can do that is to keep educating yourself on what is going on, can you say Amen! People are very interested in what’s going on, and I would also say people have great concern. What we want to be able to do is take that concern and lift it from you, not by us, but by what God’s Word says.

God’s bigger than anything we can face but we must also know what we are believing for and the type of prayers we have going out. When you pray, make sure you are not having selfish prayers, but instead be praying for other people, be praying for your government, be praying for your leaders, and be praying for your President. Our President and leaders are in a very tough position. I know everybody seems to know what to do as if they were the President, but if suddenly you had to be the President then you might be rethinking some things.

Over the years, I have traveled to many places, like Nicaragua and Ecuador, and seen some of the most beautiful areas with great people. Though some would say these are third world countries who have their own problems far from here, America is going through this Pestilence just like any other country. This did not just happen in a certain part of the world, this happened across the globe. Americans are facing the same things everyone else is facing with no exception.

As we look around us, this is happening everywhere, and you have two options: you can either make it a depressing time or you can make it an exciting time. I know for us and our ministry, we are not going to be down, we are going to be uplifted because of what God’s Word says and not because of what we are saying. Everything we say is backed up by the Word of God and that is what brings the Prince of Peace. It’s all about bringing the Prince of Peace. One of the things we have done since the beginning of 2020 at CYVI is read the One Year Bible. We had no idea we would be facing this storm together but each devotional and reading plan has been very good because we are taking God’s Word daily. I believe in loading up in God’s Word. If this weren’t a Pestilence taking up the whole world, it would still be something else. A Pestilence can be isolated just to you, just like a Famine; this just happens to be world-wide but let me tell you: “God will be victorious!”

One of the ways to stay loaded in God’s Word is by fulfilling the Great Commission (Mark 16:15). Soul winning is so important. Luke 10:2 AMPC says, “The harvest indeed is abundant [there is much ripe grain], but the farmhands are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” We should never, EVER give up on wining souls. I believe during this time the harvest is ripe, and we need to be doing the Great Commission ALL THE TIME. The only thing we can take to Heaven is souls. I believe that there will be people in Heaven that will say, “Thank you for taking the time and ministering God’s Word to me. Thank you that when you ministered His Word, you never said I was an alcoholic, you never said I was a drug addict, you never said I was a prostitute. What you said was: God has a Great Plan for your life!” People need to grab a hold that God’s Word is not condemning. God’s Word is uplifting. Jesus never came to condemn He came to save the world (John 3:17) and our job is to help do that Great Commission and save the world!

Recently I received a message from someone who had attended a service we held on 2016 at a church in Clermont, FL. She said, “My brother-in-law attended the service and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior that day. Just two days later, he was called to Heaven. As we approach the anniversary for the day of his passing, I want to express my deepest and sincerest gratitude to Evangelist Hooper. I will always be grateful that he led my brother-in-law to Christ and that I now have the promise of being reunited with him in eternity. Thank you and may God bless you and keep you.”

Since 2016 there is no telling how many services we’ve done, but I remember that service. I remember coming to that man after the altar call to shake his hand like I usually do, and he was balling in tears. He looked at me saying “Thank you” and I told him, “don’t thank me, thank Jesus, because He’s the one that saved you!” Then two days later, unexpectedly, he was walking the streets of gold… This is what keeps us going, watching people come to Jesus, watching their lives change and watching the transformation He does in their lives as they work their faith to come to that altar. This is why we need to always remember that we’re nothing more than a messenger and our job is to put our Faith in action, Faith with works, so others may come to Him.

I just want to be used by God. There is no glory to an evangelist, a pastor, a teacher, an apostle, or a prophet – the 5-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11). Jesus is the Head of the Church (Ephesians 5:23), that is what it should be and if you give Him the Glory you will always see miracles happen. In John 15:5 it says, you can nothing without Him. When you give Him the glory, He is always going to manifest!

As a ministry we are very blessed because we do what God’s Word says. That is what it means to have Works in your Faith. If you are a doer of the Word and not a hearer only (James 1:22), then your Faith is not Dead! In the same way, if you’re not a doer of the Word, if you don’t apply what it says in your daily life, then you’re a hearer ONLY and your faith is dead! When we go to churches, we have incredibly good meetings because we let God do the work and we do His Word. If you do this, I promise, you will see great things happen in your life!

As we come together in this nation and around the world, we need get our country to open back up and churches to be able to gather. Too many are being restricted in ridiculous and extreme ways. We need to petition Heaven that there is a spirit of wisdom on a plan on how to open the country and open the economy. People need to wake up! This is real!
