CHURCH GROWTH

THE GROWTH OF THE CHURCH IS DETERMINING

The key element for the growth of a church is found in following the vision that God has given it. Over the years, I have seen many of the so-called “model plans for the Church”, in other words, they say it needs to be done “this way” or “that way.” The only real plan is to stick with the vision. A Model Plan for the Church will change the vision that God has given you; hold on to that vision.

For this reason, you will NEVER see Connecting Your Vision with a Model Plan for the Church. Every church is different because of its vision. What works in one church will not work in another in the same way. Over the years, I have been asked many times “why is this like this?” And the answer is very simple: “because the vision is different.”

One of the areas we have shared is infrastructure.

is created through deployment. Implementation is the process of putting a decision or plan into practice; also known as execution. Execution is the most important key to the growth of the Church.

The key to all of this is taking the vision, applying the process of putting a plan into effect, and then executing it. Many times, for whatever reason, we see that this does not happen. This is the key component in raising, building, and building his house (the House of God).

Acts 2: 45-47 (RVR1960) and they sold their property and their goods, and distributed it to all according to each one’s need. And continuing with one accord each day in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they ate together with joy and simplicity of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church every day those who were to be saved.

As you can see from the above Scriptures, it takes everything! While you, as the Pastor, do all the work, your congregation will sit and watch you. You need to mobilize your congregation to go out into the community, talk to people, and invite them to your church. Using Relief Ministry with your congregation will help build and build your church.

Pastors need to speak to their congregation directly from the platform about what God is doing.

There should be testimonials regularly. Encourage your people to reach out and invite them to church, (please don’t apply so much pressure in this area or your congregation won’t budge on this). I have heard many pastors say that they should bring someone in every week, and this does not work.

Teach your congregation how to minister to people; each are ministers of the Gospel. As you do this, you will see how they share and reach out to others to tell them where they have heard God’s Word. Wonder why the Easter and Christmas services have more attendance than any other Sunday service? It’s because people put more advertising-emphasis on these services. But why? Jesus is alive every day! They must invest in each Sunday service as if it were a public holiday. If YOU DO NOT ASPIRE for anything, you will receive nothing. Statistics, Statistics, Statistics, Statistics!

Pastors: Get statistics or data from all your departments each week. Put pressure on your leaders on these statistics. The world is run by statistics, and it is a numbers game. When this is not running, then there is no emphasis on the growth of each department. Your Church will grow when your leaders know that you know what is going on.
